What's a cute homecoming hair-style for long hair?

I really want to do something cute, but not an up-do (or up-du, or however you spell it). I have LONG hair and I would like to keep it mostly down. I think something with half my hair up or something would be cute, but I want it to look fancy...ya' know? I just need ideas.What's a cute homecoming hair-style for long hair?

Last year for homecoming, I got my hair done, but what my stylist did could easily be done at home. She pulled my hair into a loose side pony and curled it. It looked GREAT. And I didn't see a single other person with hair like mine. Almost everyone does half-up, half-down type stuff. But yeah, the side pony with curls is really cute and pretty easy to do.

How about the front hair hanging down -straight and some of it up with curls and the rest handing down with curls too
ya the half up half down is a good idea but if u do it w/ sort of a spunky attitude to it, it wont look fancy
